Great News on Funding for Health Care in Indian Country!

27 09 2018

We’re excited to hear from the National Indian Health Board that Congress has increased funding for various health programs in Indian Country.  We’re also happy to announce a large grant ($600,000+) to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes that our company, ThunderHawk LLC helped prepare.  A Native-owned firm, ThunderHawk enjoys the services of one of our principles, Dr. Alex Thundercloud, MD, who was the key member of our team on that project.  For further information contact us at donthunderhawk3@gmail.com

Congratulations to the Ho-Chunk Nation’s Health Department Division of Behavioral Health!

4 01 2012

We received word recently that the Ho-Chunk Nation’s Health Department Division of Behavioral Health will be awarded over $300,000 in 2012 to create wraparound services for women recovering from alcohol and drug abuse issues. The State of Wisconsin grant, supported by federal funds, gives priority to pregnant women and those needing services from more than one kind of provider. Wraparound services put the woman and her family in the center of the treatment circle and include all the providers who will assist in her recovery as a team. Wraparound services have been shown to be more effective, cost-effective and in line with a holistic approach to treatment. SparrowHawk Consulting was pleased to help prepare and submit the application.
