Congratulations to the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community for an award of nearly $500,000 under the Tribal Homeland Security Grant Program.  Official notification is forthcoming.  SparrowHawk was pleased and honored to have been the Tribe’s consultant-grant writer  assisting Tribal staff in preparing this successful application.

Back from Presenting to the International Conference on Indigenous Archives, Libraries and Museums!

Thanks to the Association of Tribal Archives, Libraries and Museums for the opportunity to present “Securing Resources for Tribal Libraries and Museums at their International Conference in Palm Springs.  Despite triple-digit temperatures I learned a lot from conferees and hope those attending the session learned a lot as well.  I shared three case studies including the Squaxin Island Museum Library Research Center, the Little Boston Library at Port Gamble S’Klallam and the Museum and Cultural Center at Suquamish.
