International Conference of Indigenous Archives, Libraries, and Museums Hyatt Regency Tamaya Spa and Resort, Santa Ana Pueblo, New Mexico, June 10-13, 2013

28 01 2013

I’ll be presenting “Successful Fundraising for Tribal Libraries and Museums” at a pre-conference workshop
Hyatt Regency Tamaya Conference Center, Room Eagle AB

This program will help you carefully articulate your needs, find prospective funding sources and secure the needed resources to advance your mission. We’ll learn from three case studies how other Tribes successfully raised the funds needed for a 13,000 square foot Museum Library Research Center, a county library on Tribal land and a 9,000 square foot Museum that opened in Fall 2012. Those attending will enhance their funding research skills, their ability to prepare competitive funding applications and develop lasting relationships with funders.
Don Chalmers, President, SparrowHawk Consulting Company
